The ingredients needed to make Upma Bars:
  1. Get 1 cup semolina (rava/sooji)
  2. Make ready 3 cups water
  3. Get 1 onion finely chopped
  4. Get 1 green chilli finely chopped
  5. Get 1 tsp urad dal
  6. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. Prepare As needed curry leaves
  8. Take as needed Oil
  9. Get As needed Sesame seeds
  10. Get 1 cup Sooji/rava
  11. Get 1/2 cup chopped coriander
Instructions to make Upma Bars:
  1. To make upma; heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil. Add mustard seeds, urad dal & curry leaves.
  2. Add onions & green chillies & sauté well.
  3. Now add water to it & let it boil.
  4. Then add semolina to it, mixing it continuously. Then add coriander to it & mix well.
  5. Now grease a dish with little oil & add this upma to it.
  6. Refrigerate this for 30 minutes. & then cut into bars. Coat these bars with sesame seeds and sooji.
  7. Then deep or shallow fry them untill outer layer got golden. Drain on a paper towel & serve. 😊
  8. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
