  1. Make ready 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  5. Spread with jam.
  6. Top with remaining oat mixture, pressing lightly onto the jam.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then cut into bars while warm.
  9. Transfer bars to a wire rack to cool completely.
